Christmas with Emily was great! She was so excited to experience everything and then of course there were Christmas cookies. Emily can say and sign that word very well now. We were sad not to have Rob with us but now his homecoming is only a few months away!

Finding the Perfect Christmas Tree

We went to the Plutz farm again this year to cut down our tree, well point and have it cut down. It was very cold and Emily was quite cranky, but we made it in record time. And we even came home with a very nice tree.

Halloween!

Emily had so much fun on Halloween, once she got over the fact that her costume had a hood, she really got into it. By the end of the night she was picking candy out of the bowl herself to put into her bag.

Best Friends

Rob just left to go back to Iraq, but we had a wonderful 18 days with him here. We were able to see all of his friends and family and do so many things with Emily. She had her first trip to the zoo and the aquarium, many trips to the park, and hiking all over on Daddy's back. Only 7 more months until he returns again and we cannot wait to have him around for more than 2 weeks.

Waiting For Daddy

Rob will be leaving the FOB tomorrow to start his long journey home to us. We are SOOOO excited, although he will only be here for a little over 2 weeks, we'll take what we can get. We have a lot of things packed into his time home and hopefully we will be able to fit it all in, along with some time for relaxing as well.

Emily's First Birthday

We made it! Emily is now one! She enjoyed her birthday party very much, especially the part where she got to rip all the paper. The cake was also a big hit! She is now 20lbs 5 oz and walking very well; soon she will be running all over the house. She is signing more words and is turning into quite the picky eater. She loves to dance and chase Annabelle and Buddy around the house. Rob should be home on leave in September so hopefully we can add some pictures of the whole family
